Lanzarote


Lanzarote is characterized by the constant presence of the wind. The landscape has a lunar aspect with lava rocks but there are also fields and tropical vegetation. The Timanfaya volcano dominates the island with more than 300 craters and majestic lava fields. Protecting the environment and the feeling of being in a primitive and pristine, made ​​in Lanzarote recognition by UNESCO as a " World Biosphere Reserve " .
 
La Geria
Part of the island is characterized by the cultivation of vines very special. La Geria is formed by small circular stone walls to protect the plants from wind, is dug a hole on the bottom and a growing vine that produces the Malvasia wine. Above these fields is spread a thin layer of volcanic ash which absorbs the night dew and provides the necessary moisture to the plants.
  
The eruption of Timanfaya
